There’s a lawsuit between Careitas (Plaintiff) and KRU (defendant) over a $300,000 (Ksh38,772,759) loan @OfficialKRU took from Careitas (a Paris-based French corporation) in 2022 to finance Kenya Simbas’ Rugby World Cup qualifiers in France. The loan’s maturity was 2025 and KRU failed to honor the repayment schedule as agreed.

Careitas was entitled to profit participation of 11.25% from the KRU properties being Safari 7s, Elgon Cup, Test Matches, Super Series, and Enterprise Cup.
Careitas was represented by Brian Asin & co advocates, Asin is a partner in Olendo Orare Samba Advocates LLP.
