It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we inform you of the death of Kenya international Bernadette Olesia.

Bernadette worked at the Shamas Rugby Foundation and played her club rugby for Shamas Rugby Foundation and Northern Suburbs Ladies Team.

She passed away on Tuesday 15 August 2023 while undergoing treatment in hospital.

We extend our condolences to her family, friends, colleagues and team mates.

Further information around Bernadette’s funeral arrangements will be shared in subsequent communications.
