A MESSAGE OF HOPE: Dominic Auricchio was facing a frightening health challenge when he says the Virgin Mary appeared beside his bed and told him everything would be OK. Later, doctors found that the mass in his brain had shrunk significantly. The NJ teen and his mother share their story on “America Right Now.”
@Tom_Basile
I have never been more convinced of the power of the Rosary, for my own conversion, and the conversion of others.
If you aren’t praying the Rosary every day, with every fiber of my being, I ask you: please, pray the Rosary.
ALERT: Six Flags shut down a famous roller coaster after 24 years because of numerous lawsuits, a girl ended up in a coma, and multiple deaths.
The X2 roller coaster at Six Flags Magic Mountain in California, which opened in 2002, has been permanently retired.
The X2 was the world's first 4-dimensional roller coaster, with seats that rotated 360° and maintained speeds of 80 miles per hour.
The coaster has been attributed to at least 2 deaths and multiple brain injuries, including one last month that sent a girl into a coma after a catastrophic brain injury.
25-year-old Naomi Greer-Wilkinson was riding the ride when the doctors say she injured her brain due to a “traumatic rapid acceleration-deceleration event.”
Greer-Wilkinson is still in the hospital and remains on a ventilator 2 months after the incident.
Another instance in June 2022, 22-year-old Christopher Hawley collapsed and lost consciousness after riding the ride.
Hawley died of a brain injury the next day, which doctors described his injury as as similar to shaken baby syndrome.
Over 100 people who have ridden the X2 have come forward to say they attribute some form of brain injury to riding this coaster.
Attention Catholics: Pick a parish and go there. Register if that's available. Go to Mass there every Sunday. Introduce yourself to the priest.
The "we don't really have a parish, we just kind of move around" is not a long term solution that's good for your spiritual life or that of your family.
Here’s a list of books every Catholic should read (start with the first three):
1. The Bible
2. The Imitation of Christ by Thomas á Kempis
3. Introduction to the Devout Life by St. Francis de Sales
4. The Three Ages of the Interior Life by Fr. Réginald Garrigou-Lagrange
5. The Spiritual Combat by Lorenzo Scupoli
6. Treatise on the Love of God by St. Francis de Sales
7. On Loving God by St. Bernard of Clairvaux
8. Uniformity with God’s Will by St. Alphonsus Liguori
9. True Devotion to Mary by St. Louis de Montfort
10. The Secret of the Rosary by St. Louis de Montfort
11. The Glories of Mary by St. Alphonsus Liguori
12. Confessions by St. Augustine
13. The Interior Castle by St. Teresa of Ávila
14. The Story of a Soul by St. Thérèse of Lisieux
15. Preparation for Death by St. Alphonsus Liguori
16. The Art of Dying Well by St. Robert Bellarmine
Today I brought Holy Communion to an elderly woman whose brother was not only a priest, but was in the first wave of men to storm Omaha Beach on D-Day.
I pray that I may have the same courage and commitment to souls as this priest did, literally risking his life in the hell of D-Day to absolve men and ensure their safe passage to the Kingdom of God.
In 2026, the world needs strong Catholic Men.
