The historical relationship b/w the Catholic Church & indigenous peoples of North America has been strained by The hurt from the Church’s silence & complicity in the forced separation of #indigenouspeople from our lands and relatives remains to this day.

But not every missionary effort took place to the detriment of local tribal communities. In fact, many of our relatives recall fondly the “black robes” who introduced their ancestors to #JesusChrist.
