The officer explained that paying fees doesn’t magically reinstate a suspended license and that the vehicle was being impounded.

That explanation did not improve the decision-making.

She got back behind the wheel and tried to leave anyway.

What started as a suspended-license stop reportedly ended with felony fleeing, resisting without violence, and driving while suspended.
