@localghost I anot strategist, but it looks like its better to wait until fable thing resolves, and the minute they open fable to public again, they can release gpt-6 or 5.6 with bechmarks just a tiny bit above fable
@0xIlyy They did for sure, but there is very high chance they considered it a possibility (if not a plan from the start), they analyst must have predicted this as one of the outcomes based on what we got to know so far, if so, we are yet to see some events in the industry
@LexnLin Literally woke up at 8am, and first thing i see is that the model is about to be taken down, and at that time fable was still running long task on my CC, and i was like "how much do i have left of it?"
@LexnLin Yea, i finally was able to starting working on some crazy-ass math algorithms for destructions and aninations, that i failed to do myself for the last like 6 years at least, got so tasty progress, and just this weekend they killed the model lol
@Speedy_Edits@ClaudeDevs They played a super long marketing campaign calling it "so dangerous, we cant let it out", and surprise surprise, the big goverment stepped in after that.
More then sure, if OpenAI released such model, none of this would happen
@usr_bin_roygbiv and yes, this includes gpu purchase cost distributed over it's lifetime + power cost in US, and still math is VERY good for these companies
@usr_bin_roygbiv Very much double that, and based on articles from really smark people (this is NOT my slop), made this page.
We dont know a lot of things, so it has sliders to play with:
