The directive to open banks on Sunday does not seem to actually address the inconvenience caused to the general public by the strike.

It seems someone’s ego has been seriously hurt.

@ilo Has @ilo got the guts to ask to @RBI that under which provisions of Indian constitution or International labour code they are allowing surprise sunday openings of the banks in India!

@ilo Bankers in India asking for sat/sun off every week which is being followed by every govt office including the apex institute for banks i.e. RBI. Now they want the bankers to open banks on sundays even.

What's the stand of ILO in this regard?

@ilo Strike is a legal tool to protest, or to give opinions against any management and 28 to 30 Sept was already declared strike,in advance. Whole machinary now is trying to make the strike unsuccessful, so in the name of public interest, they are making bankers to work on a Sunday?
