Do not destroy this young man’s life. He made a stupid mistake. If he knew how much it meant to anyone he wouldn’t have done it. He can apologize and make amends and will better for it. The world needs to stop pretending like we all haven’t made mistakes. I have done many things I wish I took more seriously at the time. Not to this extent, but that does not matter. Stop trying to get attention and status by making others little. Should I retreat into obscurity or learn and make better choices? The Scriptures teach against making these kinds of judgements. I’ve had to learn not to project this kind of anger at people. It is a reprieve to me, to forgive all people for wrongdoing who will be accountable and apologize. He owned up to it. Let him grow in peace.
