@JustinMalayas If you want an in-universe explanation, Stormtrooper helmets are extraordinarily thin and poorly padded. They're protective mostly against plasma fire, which causes shallow concussive explosions and minor burns rather than penetration. A normal punch might dent even a chestpiece
