These hives are alive in the dead of winter!

Our Principal Data Scientist, Nico Coallier captured these images of his hives using a thermal imaging camera

The bright spot in the center of each hive is the cluster of bees huddling together to stay warm

Our Ferme Nectar hives are winterized ❄

First we added 2" of insulation foam under the roof, then we wrapped groups of 4 hives together using insulation wrap 🐝

This way our colonies will stay cozy until spring ☃️
