I have something similar in my book - taken from the Univ of St Andrews photographic collection.

@GolfLibrary Harrington has been talking about many top golfers having hot, short periods of 2 or 3 years. Sporty, Jason Day, Rory? It’s an interesting idea and doesn’t apply to everybody but seems to have some merit.

@SHistorians @TheOpen Another respected golf emigre from St Andrews who did (golf) missionary work in England. Huddersfield GC (below R) was his first posting in the great English golf boom He was only the second Hon Member at the New Golf Club after Old Tom #standrews

Tom Watson as 5X Open winner never had the chance to play Hoylake in his pomp to become Champion Golfer. He’s our current Hon Member at the New Golf Club & Old Tom was the first. #TheOpen and #tomwatson and #oldtommorris

Hoylake: Bobby Jones was very fond of the course making his first & last British appearances in tournament golf at RLGC. Aged a very young-looking 19 when he started at the Amateur and only 28 when he finished As Champion Golfer #hoylake
