HOW HAMAS GOT THE CEMENT
The Israeli army last week dismantled a mile-long Hamas tunnel that it found underneath the area where Israeli forces currently are deployed in Gaza.
The Washington Post has estimated that Hamas built more than 1,300 terror tunnels in Gaza in the years preceding October 7, 2023.
So how did Hamas acquire the cement for all that construction, despite Israel’s blockade of such materials?
The terrorists had help from then-US Mideast envoy Dennis Ross—according to Ross himself.
In an op-ed in the Post on August 8, 2014, Ross admitted that, as an envoy for the Obama administration, he pressured Israel to allow Hamas to import cement. Ross made that demand even though the Israelis warned him that Hamas was using cement for military purposes.
“At times,” he wrote in the Post, “I argued with Israeli leaders and security officials, telling them they needed to allow more construction materials, including cement, into Gaza so that housing, schools and basic infrastructure could be built. They countered that Hamas would misuse it, and they were right.”
Against their better judgment, the Israelis gave in to Ross’s pressure. And they paid a steep price.
The tunnels were what made October 7 possible. That’s where the terrorists trained, out of sight of Israeli surveillance. That’s where they stored their weapons. And that’s where they enslaved, tortured, and raped Israeli hostages.
The same Dennis Ross recently wrote an op-ed in the Israeli press, in which he sought to influence how Israelis vote in their upcoming election.
Will Israeli voters now take advice from someone who has admitted that he helped enable Hamas to build the terror tunnels?

🇮🇪 The Irish state has published an advert discouraging grandparents from hugging their grandchildren, as part of a campaign designed to promote "consent".
@bradlander You're lucky that your "friends" didn't throw rocks (or bullets) and break your vehicle windows like they do all the time to other Jews who are not useful idiots like you.
Yeah, but what’s crazy tho is that they actually built.
For example:
Iraqi Jews lived in tents 70 years ago.
Today, many live here, in Ramat Gan.
That’s what not being a victim gets a people and gets their nation.
There is no nobility to be found in victimhood. That is a postmodern lie.
There's something exquisitely ridiculous about listening to the British lecture Israel and Jews on religious equality and democratic citizenship.
Israel, the Jewish nation-state, has no established state religion, no religious qualification for its president or prime minister, and no hereditary religious monarch. Jewish, Muslim, Christian and Druze citizens can vote, serve in the Knesset, hold government office and participate in the country's political life.
Israel's Declaration of Independence explicitly promises equal social and political rights to citizens regardless of religion, race or sex.
Now, let's visit Britain, that magnificent self-appointed guardian of enlightened democratic values, shall we?
🤡Britain actually has an established church.
Not metaphorically. Not culturally. Not because someone hung a crucifix in a government office. An actual church, established by law, with the monarch serving as its Supreme Governor.
🤡Twenty-six Anglican bishops are entitled to seats in the House of Lords simply because they're Anglican bishops. They can debate legislation, propose amendments and vote on laws governing Jews, Muslims, Hindus, Catholics, atheists and everyone else.
Do rabbis get 26 reserved seats? No.
Imams? No.
Catholic bishops? Absolutely not.
🤡England still has a legal requirement for daily collective worship in state-funded schools. In ordinary nonreligious state schools, worship is required to be Christian.
🤡The British monarch must be Protestant and in communion with the Church of England.
So the next time someone declares that Israel's Jewish national identity is inherently incompatible with democracy, perhaps they could explain why Britain's formally established Anglican church, constitutionally Protestant monarchy and parliamentary bishops supposedly present no comparable problem.
Better still, they could explain why Jewish national self-determination is treated as inherently suspect while Britain's centuries-old religious establishment is waved away as charming tradition.
One might almost begin to suspect that the objection isn't really to the principle at all. 🤔
It’s all about narrative. This is the narrative of @BarackObama on Jews and Israel:
Once upon a time there were many Jews who lived in Europe and the Nazis, who were racists tried to kill them so the few Jews who survived realized they needed a place to be safe. They scanned the globe and plopped their white selves onto the Middle East and started to move to Palestine. There, they decided to build a state to ensure their safety. There, they also displaced and occupied another people’s land. Jews were once oppressed and for that, we love them but the Jews today are the oppressors and for that we must wag our righteous finger at them. They “ceded the moral ground,” says Obama because exerting power is a signature move of racists.
Here is the real story:
Once upon a time there lived an ancient people known as “Jews” with a shared language, shared traditions, shared rituals, and shared territory. That territory was called Judea because Jews are from Judea. Judea was conquered by the Romans who gave this land a new name: Palestine. There has never been a Palestinian Muslim or Arab kingdom, empire , or state. The British borrowed the name “Palestine” when they named this territory the British Mandate for Palestine because the British, being part of Western civilization, are the inheritors of Roman and Greek civilizations and thus shaped by a shared lexicon, Palestine being once such word. The Jews were exiled from Judea but always retained a presence there. For two thousand years the Jews longed for their return to Zion, ie Israel. In 1920, so 30 years before the Holocaust, Jews and other groups sought national revival . They saw an opportunity and worked with the British to legally secure their return to Israel. There, they built a state but the Arabs were not happy about this and sought to destroy Israel in 1948 and then again in 1967. Till this day Arabs who identify as Palestinians want no coexistence with Jews as sovereigns in any part of the Middle East because once land is ruled by Islam, it shall forever be ruled by Islam (the waqf). The Jews in Israel have an army and are forced to use violence to defend themselves from genocidal wars and attacks waged by groups like Hamas, Islamic Jihad, and the PFLP.

@EphraimGopin I'd think it's helpful to know, just to understand their potential state of mind coming into the date. But assuming the divorce is final, it's probably not a need-to-know fact beforehand.
@Hassan671412274@A_s9500@yoavkaufman I don't know where you're getting your misinformation. The interception rate was 92% in the most recent war with Iran. Very few made it to the ground.
@Hassan671412274@A_s9500@yoavkaufman Of course we went into our shelters when missiles were shot at us. We love life. And nearly all the missiles were intercepted - Iron Dome works great.
If you don't like rats in underground shelters, you must hate Hamas, who chose to live in tunnels under civilians for years.
@pbrown4348 Peacefully coexisting...except for all the anti-Jewish massacres.
And majority Eastern European...except for all the Jews from Middle Eastern/North African countries who outnumbered them (and still do).
@A_s9500@Hassan671412274@yoavkaufman Didn't love the missiles, but ~90% overall were intercepted. We're lucky to have Iron Dome, unlike Saudi Arabia, whose airport has been completely battered.
Never mind that we had legally purchased that land and in many cases had lived there for centuries. The problem is that we were Jewish and that was "excessive."
According to @BarackObama, Jews fled Europe, arrived in someone else’s land and became “excessive.”
Conveniently missing: The Jewish people’s millennia-old connection to the Land of Israel and centuries of continuous Jewish presence there.
Israel’s legitimacy did not begin with European persecution.
Neither did Jewish history.
