@MelissaFiocco Totally agree!! The only problem is that people don't really take a deeper look into the news media and kind of just assume what they read is true. It might be a big title on a newspaper website or a few lines on facebook
@meaghan_educ307 If you go look a little bit deeper than what we saw in the lesture you will find some shocking info about disney!! Let me tell you, it's not just a perfect fantasy world haha!
@BryanCoriolan Now a day, what you sell dosen't matter as long as you have a good branding and a good social media network/feed. Companies have team devoted to social media only. It became much bigger than personal use
@justwh24 It's honestly shocking! It's disturbing to se how much time we spend looking at our phone. I realized the other day when I was watching Netflix, I was also on my phone scrolling but I wasen't actually looking at my screen... it definitely became a bad habbit
I believe we shouldn't teach women how to not get raped, but instead, teach MEN not to rape. It's crazy to think that women are STILL getting blamed for other people's actions. #lesson10
I believe the best, and in my opinion only way, to protect your information and keep some kind of privacy online is to share the less. Everything written, share or said (even in private chat) could be used or disclose online. Hackers can find anything. #lesson10
@carmelinahenoud (2/2) that the more you share, the more active you are online the more "popularity" you get. I believe this popularity aspect created by social medias is very appealing for the majority. Therefore, the dilema between sharing less, being more private, or trying to be popular online
@carmelinahenoud I think people are actually quite concerned about their privacy but I think since social media has taken over such a big part of our lives that the users are not ready to let go of this aspect of their "persona" or online identity. What I mean by that is (1/2)
@RivardTram Imagine if one day all the information becomes available to the public due to some "bug" on the internet. Whenever I post something online, I always think about that before actually posting it.
@RivardTram You are totally right. All this information will somehow always be on the internet. Thats why I think it is crucial that we teach younger users because I think it is harder for them to understand that.
@meaghan_educ307 The internet is a scary place haha! But that is so true, nowadays, it feels like the more information you give about yourself, the "better" it is (locations, status). Then I also ask myself, why do we feel like we need to share all this information about ourselves all the time?
@SarahHerscheid2 I try my best to keep my name/profile "clean" on the internet, that is why I hate when people post pictures or videos of me without my approval. However, the fact that snapchat has all the pictures store somewhere is quite a scary thought. #educ307
@SarahHerscheid2 I agree. If you are arrested for valid reason, there should have the right to search your mobile phone, as this could lead to more relevant information.
Being a feminist is definitely not being a man hater or trying to be superior. It is solely about equality for all people. Feminists actually encourage men to join the movement. #feminist#educ307#lesson10
That is so true. Everyone can find any kind of information about anyone! It is so crazy to think that with a few clicks and a very small knowledge of technology you can find so much information about one person #lesson9#educ307
I believe in todays day in age, with whats happening with social media and technology constantly evolving we have lost complete privacy for everything, from personal to school to business. #Lesson9
@HacheyAndrew@JZazzo With movement happening on social media and online, it obviously reached a broader community and a more view to the public. However, we are far from our goal, if we are honest! #lesson10#educ307
