The ultimate point of introducing digital code into classes is not to scare students, but rather to inform students to realizing precisely what level of control they don’t have in releasing information into the web #lesson13
if teachers incorporate social media into there classes, I think they should do a workshop of social media policy, so they fully understand the code. I never got that when I was in school, I learnt about it now #lesson13
One advantage of digital code is that they make your content more engaging and dynamic, which can keep people on your site longer with the right tools #lesson13
@cladas1 this is so tru that its sad we rely on social media so much tht its out of our control sometimes the majority of us, as soon as we wake up the first thing we do is go on our phones to check the latest, its an addiction tht the world has created & we need to learn how to slow down
@allitheriault I couldnt agree with you more! we look up to most of these lifestyles and want the same, however we dont even know if its all an act and we get pulled in into this and always want to live up like them or try to be like them
@TMukhalalaty you are so right! I think the reason why is we all want to know what is happening ie. famous people, we always try to keep up, becomes an addiction.. which is really sad that we rely on technology and information so much to keep us going
@DanielA13231823 its really hard to say in todays era, I think we should have a bit of both so its fair and we keep social media on the clean side rather those nasty harassment, hatred, bullying etc..
@taniavaccarell1 yes we are! I also believe it has to do with our generation ,compared to the other generations, they didnt care so much about technology. however, I feel like in our era we have no choice to adapt to it because for ex jobs use social media for there companies to go viral etc..
@taniavaccarell1 I absolutely agree! its very scary because we dont know who can be behind the computer and sometimes we get fooled and our information gets accessed!
@CoreyChristoff2 you're so right! as a parent and educator as well, the children look up to them so by guiding them through what is right and wrong will help them understand later, however when you are so young you aren't surrounded with that type of bad messages..
in my opinion, parents whom do not allow there children to watch Disney movie due to stereotypes is absurd, we live in a world full of racial and gender stereotypes, it shouldn't stop children watching Disney movies. #Lesson11
@PreddieKevin @LucasRa27083414 yes you are right! thats why they should teach what is right and wrong through social media to teach them so they do not do the same mistakes! I believe it is so important to do so! we dont get taught that enough, we always just learn on our own and see what others do
@Alyssa53148885 I honestly couldn't agree more! we get so influenced by what is posted and we always believe what is posted but most of the time its assumptions
@dcolanziEDUC307 absolutely! I feel like we dont have enough of that, in the schools especially! it can lead to such damaging things ie bullying, harassment etc..
@dcolanziEDUC307 I couldnt agree more, it has the power to connect us with whole world while allowing everyone to have access to information! pretty scary!
@LucasRa27083414 yes exactly, that's why social media is perfect for getting the real information passed around the world, but I would never use social media for anything to do with research papers.. social media is great for getting the word across people.
at times the "freedom of speech" someone whats to express themselves can lead to potentially more damaging than the problem they want to solve #lesson13
