I wish Muslims, at least this time, understood how the system works. Nobody is coming to our rescue. Muslims are often called upon when our support serves a political purpose, but the moment we're no longer convenient, we're left to fend for ourselves. The sooner we accept that reality, the better. So many of us kept saying that the CJP were nothing but stooges. Now that the real trouble is here, they're nowhere to be seen. And before some of you say, "We weren't there for the CJP, we were there for the students, for our future," that's exactly the point. There was no need to be this naive. You can stand for students and justice without blindly following people who have repeatedly shown they won't stand for you when it matters most.
