Michael. You are sounding defensive. He wasn’t attacking you. Your original claim was that you saw the person before FSD did and that we should rethink our belief that FSD is safer than humans. But your video refutes that claim. Now you are pivoting to an argument that it will scare noobs. And you are right about that. But the car reacted to a man stepping towards the car. It has to prioritize safety over comfort in that situation. My Tesla makes mistakes and I will call it out when it does, but this isn’t a mistake, this is how driving FSD will be when a person turns his head or in anyway makes the car think there is a chance of someone stepping into the path.
It was already making space for him as you can see your car moved towards the center of the road early. You know this because the car went directly over the man hole cover which is in the center of the road. So it saw him early on too. It irked because the guy took a step towards the car from behind his dog to put himself between you and the dog, but it had already made a safe distance before that. And if you count from when the guy made that step to when the car reacted, it was less than a second. Look at Dirty Tesla’s video of them throwing a mannequin hidden from behind a sign atthe last minute in front of the car. He can count the frames at 30 frames per second from when you can first see the man’s leg step out from behind the sign till when the car reacts by changing the driving blue line path. It’s 4 frames. Or 0.13 seconds. Faster than you can blink and it had already decided to and started changing the path. It is super human already in reaction time.
It was doing 28 in a 25. Not crazy and totally dependent on the set speed profile and it clearly slowed down to 23 by the time it passed the person with plenty of space that it gave. It’s on the video. It’s only mistake is being too cautious when it passed and making a jerking movement. Musk has said to prioritize safety because if it hits a blade of grass, there will be press conferences about it and he is right.
Yes, you can clearly see from this side angle that your assertion that you saw him before the car did is wrong. The car did 2 things: It saw the pedestrian and started moving to the center as you can clearly see the car was getting away from the curve, then it jerked away like something scared it. I could see nothing from the person or dog, but the car will be extra cautious if there is no oncoming car. I want the car to be extra cautious. It may over react occasionally but it simply CANNOT hit a pedestrian. The press hates Musk and will destroy Tesla if it does. Nice neighborhood by the way.
The government didnt just give Tesla tax credits. The government gave anyone making an electric car tax credits. The government does this all the time to encourage certain behavior from the public. The democrats particularly wanted us to get out of our ICE cars. Tesla just made a better product and was more successful than other American car companies.
I can only imagine the faux outrage from the liberal politicians if this had been the other way around. Two cops show up to an immigrant on the ground, bleeding, saying he's been stabbed and he can't breathe with a white guy saying he called him a racial slur and they immediately put HIM in handcuffs and read him his rights. Tell me those cops wouldn't be fired or even arrested.
Longer range. It would make faster charging more obsolete. If we could get a car to go 1000 miles, even if only 80% charged you could drive 10 hours nonstop at 80 miles per hour. That’s more than you can drive nonstop in a day. Then the chargers would become overnight chargers at hotels and the like.
What BS. FSD was not activated because there was no deceleration. This was a human driver pulling out in front of another human driver. Had both had the latest FSD, this wreck would have never happened. This tech can save thousands of lives, stop fasley scaring people away from it
@ACrunchyLettuce@blueskykites@cybertruck@Tesla@WhamBaamX@kneubuehl That was a long yellow before he started breaking. He would have run a red light if he didn’t. The truck behind him would have definitely run the light after it turned red. The truck behind needs to pay attention and not drive so close and recklessly.
@Timcast Guys. He’s testing to see how vitriolic the responses are from each party. He just posted the same thing a few days ago saying he would never vote democrat again.
Prepare to be called Nazi, racist, homophobic, and otherwise have your name smeared. Prepare to have your family attacked, doxxed, and threatened. And finally, start wearing bullet proof vests and increase your security, because they will try to murder you. That’s the tolerant liberal party you are leaving. Also, welcome to the party that is always welcoming and accepting.
@billsusername12@elonmusk You can always tell when someone has no intellect when they resort to ad hominem attacks. And you can always tell when a hit dog hollers that you’ve made a good argument. And you know a coward when they shout childish insults then block you.
@billsusername12@elonmusk I agree the GPS could use some work but you can’t say it is nearly unusable in one sentence and say in the next you are amazed and more than satisfied. Unusable? FSD is amazing and occasionally routes funny. Not unusable.
And if we were not trying to eliminate Iran's ability to nuke us, you would still have crappy streets in the Bronx. You know why? Because it's the NYC DOT who is responsible for maintaining this streets. And you are in NY where the liberals in charge choose to take your tax dollars and spend them housing illegal aliens in the finest hotels instead of spending it on infrastructure. This has NOTHING to do with national defense
Not sure what the problem is. For the speed you are driving, this is a normal distance that humans will follow the truck. It didn't run the light. It didn’t put you in danger. It stopped quickly but many times in my life, I’ve had to stop quicker than I wanted for many reasons. It’s not FSD’s job to always make you feel 100% comfortable and in real world driving, it's impossible to avoid hard braking occasionally. It's job is to keep you safe and it did that as good or better than most humans would have done in that situation.
