I took a break from 𝕏 last year in August I think.
Apparently being away for so long puts you in algo jail for a while. Not surprising, but a little asinine and counter productive.
But the real surprise I’m noticing- is how many accts I was engaging with back then that are mostly all now inactive.
They all seem to have given up on building a following, etc.
Wouldn’t it be more productive for @X algorithm to encourage growing accounts to stick around? @grok ??
“Despite the enormous quantity of books, how few people read! And if one reads profitably, one would realize how much stupid stuff the vulgar herd is content to swallow every day.”
Post-traumatic growth.
The psychological term for when people come out stronger, wiser, or more resilient after a major failure or trauma. Not everyone experiences it, but for those who do, their biggest failures literally become the foundation for their best version of themselves.

Deliberate discomfort is necessary negativity most people ignore. Your brain only grows when you willingly do things that feel like shit.
Comfort is where dreams go to die. Get comfortable being uncomfortable — that’s where your next level is.
Defensive pessimism -
you expect the worst, but you still show up and work harder to prevent it. You use the anxiety as fuel.
Self-handicapping -
you expect the worst and then sabotage yourself upfront so you have an excuse when you fail. You create the failure instead of fighting it.
1. Envy 😬
We all feel it.
Rarely admit it.
Almost never stop to examine it.
It shows up quietly-
in resentment, jealousy, and feelings of inadequacy 😒
It fuels comparison, consumerism, even road rage. (No, seriously-that’s why they won’t let you merge.)
