Something hit me.

We were traveling to Lugano from Lucerne, and we missed our connecting train. The next train was 1 hour later. One hour of wait. Nothing to do. We cursed our luck. We dipped back into our phones. And the next time we checked the clock, it was just 15 mins to go. Internet poured an hour full of content into our empty glasses of time.

I realised there is no waiting now. No boredom. Time just passes. It’s like sleeping, or being in a coma. The passage of time is invisible. Almost like fast forwarding life towards its inevitable end. It shortens life. Isn’t this the most dangerous yet painless disease. Scary.

It appears that the zero enrichment poison pill killed the Islamabad negotiations yesterday. We have 9 more days in this cease fire to fix this, but we must pursue our goals not Israel's.

Trump's redline has always been no nuclear weapons for Iran, not zero enrichment. Iran agrees with this and has not sought to develop or obtain a nuke since 2003 but needs to retain the ability to enrich for their "not Saddam but not Qaddafi" policy to work.

This makes negotiations between the U.S. & Iran workable as the dispute is on levels of enrichment and monitoring.

This is a threat to Israel getting us to do the heavy lifting in the regime change/decapitation war they want.

Israel needs us chasing every trace of uranium in Iran because that ensures we stay engaged militarily in Iran, because how do we ever fully make sure Iran can't enrich without taking out the regime?

This is the recipe for an endless bloody war or supporting/turning a blind eye to Israel using a WMD on Iran.

Restrain Israel, get a deal, open the SOH, focus on saving our Republic, not playing empire.

Don’t think it’s Netanyahu. Iran couldn’t be targeted because it was escalating - bombing Infra of other gulf countries. They did a ceasefire and clearly say that Lebanon is not a part of the ceasefire.

That still doesn’t give Iran enough legitimacy to target Infra targets in gulf. At most they can target Israel.

Hence - the ceasefire was only to box the damage to proxies and redirect the escalation to certain pockets.

The war has been expanded horizontally and controlled vertically - as far as escalation goes.

They really want to inflict as much damage as possible before actually signing for peace. No wonder Iran is skeptical of everything.
