During the Australian GP weekend we saw cars losing up to ~50 km/h at the end of the straights. What actually causes that?

It's a bit odd that FIA/F1 created some of the most complex regs to date, yet stripped two decimal places from the timing tower as if to make things appear simpler for the audience.
Lando Norris had the fastest pit stop of the race at 17.739s total time lost in the pits.

I think this circuit will be much better for charging the battery than Australia.
Turns 2, 3, 6, 9 and 11 should provide plenty of harvesting opportunities, and then thereโs T14 which is the hardest braking zone.

I analysed some race relay data and noticed an interesting strategy from Mercedes:
In short, energy is not deployed aggressively. They accept a deficit of around 10 km in vmax, but clipping is delayed, allowing them to arrive at the brakes with 10 km more than the Ferrari
