This is Rafiq Hussain Bhattuk. He was a leader in Godhra, owned two petrol pumps, and it was he who arranged the petrol used to burn the Sabarmati train. He remained absconding for 14 years. The Gujarat Intelligence Bureau had kept his relatives and family members under surveillance, with all their phones being monitored. One day, he called his son because he had become a grandfather. The surveillance traced his location to Delhi. He then told his son that he would secretly come to Godhra on a certain date because he wanted to see his grandson.

The police decided it would be better to let him come to Godhra rather than arrest him in Delhi. He arrived in Godhra, where police officers in plain clothes were stationed at the railway station and arrested him.

Yesterday, all of his crimes were proven in court, and he was sentenced to life imprisonment. Remember when Lalu Yadav used to say that the fire on the Sabarmati Express in Godhra had started on its own and that no one had set it? After confessing everything, he told the police that he had spent those 14 years living in Lajpat Rai Market in Old Delhi.

Just think about how vast the ecosystem of these religious terrorists is. Did any journalist report this news?

Shobhaa De is a well-known writer, often celebrated for her opinions. Her argument here is:
*"Meat is meat, whether it’s from a cow, a goat, or any other animal. Then why do Hindus discriminate between animals? Why is killing a goat acceptable but killing a cow considered wrong? Isn’t this hypocrisy and ignorance?"*
Let’s address her logic with these responses:
**Response No. 1:**
Shobhaa De ma’am, you make an interesting point!
But let’s consider this:
Your *father, husband, brother, and son*—aren’t all of them men?
Yet, why do you behave differently with each of them?
For reproduction, you need your husband alone, don’t you?
Can you behave with your father, brother, or son the same way you do with your husband?
If intimacy is reserved only for your husband, wouldn’t it be *hypocrisy* or *ignorance* on your part not to extend it to others?
Relationships such as a father, husband, brother, or son are defined by emotions, respect, and social beliefs, not merely biological identities.
Similarly, the way we regard animals like cows and goats is shaped by cultural, emotional, and spiritual significance, not just their physical existence.
**Response No. 2:**
Here’s another question for you:
You and your family likely consume milk from cows or buffaloes in the form of coffee or tea, right?
But would you prepare coffee using milk from a dog, pig, or monkey?
If, according to your logic, milk is milk regardless of its source, why wouldn’t you do this?
Doesn’t this make your argument invalid and hypocritical?
The issue here isn’t about *meat*. It’s about *beliefs* and *sentiments*.
Just as familial relationships are built on values and trust, the way we treat cows, goats, or other animals reflects our cultural beliefs and emotional attachments.

*"Save the tiger!"—the person advocating for it is seen as a *social servant*.
*"Save the dogs!"—that person is hailed as an *animal lover*.
But *"Save the cow!"—suddenly, that person is labeled a *religious fanatic*. Why?*
The real tragedy is that such criticisms often come from our own people, who fail to respect the values and sentiments embedded in our culture.

दूसरे दिन वो शिविरों में इंदिरा के साथ गए।

वहां नेहरू तक अपनी बात पहुंचाने की कोशिश में एक 80 वर्षीय वृद्ध ने इंदिरा को स्पर्श कर दिया। नेहरू ने तुरंत ही उसे तमाचा जड़ दिया।

वो वृद्ध लाहौर का प्रसिद्ध व्यापारी था जिस पर वक़्त की मार पड़ रही थी। तमाचा खा कर वो जोर से हंसा और बोला, "इंदिरा मेरी पोती समान है क्योंकि आप खुद मेरे बेटे की उम्र के हैं।

मेरा हाथ लग जाने भर से आप क्रोधित हो गए और मेरी 3 जवान पोतियों को मुसलमान मेरे सामने उठा ले गए फिर भी आप कहते हैं सब भुला दूं।.....

नेहरू ये सुनकर वहां से इंदिरा को साथ लेकर निकल गए।

Her name was Maharani Gayatri Devi.

She was born on May 23, 1919, in London. Her father was the Maharaja of Cooch Behar in Bengal. She grew up riding horses, playing polo, and studying in England and Switzerland.

At 12 years old, she met the Maharaja of Jaipur, Sawai Man Singh II. He already had two wives. After an eight-year courtship, she married him on May 9, 1940, and became the third Maharani of Jaipur.

Gayatri Devi refused to observe purdah. At a time when royal women were expected to remain behind veils, she appeared in public confidently and unapologetically. She later founded Jaipur’s first modern school for girls. Vogue magazine also named her among the ten most beautiful women in the world.

In 1962, she joined the Swatantra Party and contested the Lok Sabha election from Jaipur. Out of 246,516 votes cast, she received 192,909 votes, nearly 78 percent of the total.

It was recorded in the Guinness Book of World Records as the largest electoral majority ever won by any candidate in a democratic election at the time.

When she visited the United States, President John F. Kennedy introduced her publicly as “the woman with the most staggering majority that anyone has ever earned in any election in the world.”

She won the Jaipur seat again in 1967 and once more in 1971, each time defeating the Congress.

Then came the Emergency.

In June 1975, Prime Minister Indira Gandhi declared Emergency across India. One month later, Gayatri Devi was arrested on charges of tax evasion.

She was 56 years old and spent five and a half months inside Tihar Jail.

After the Emergency ended, she gradually withdrew from politics. Her husband had died in 1970, and her only son died in 1977. She spent the rest of her life quietly in Jaipur until her death on July 29, 2009.

She was 90 years old.

A queen who won the world’s largest election majority.

A woman jailed by the very Prime Minister she had spent years opposing.

Her school for girls still stands in Jaipur today.

दोनों तरफ की सेनाओं में 90% राजपूत लड़ रहे थे अकबर के तरफ से सेनापति मानसिंह और राजा लूणकरण थे तो दूसरी तरफ खुद महाराणा प्रताप और दूसरे राजपूत राजा थे

दोनों तरफ के राजपूतों ने केसरिया साफा पहन रखा था इससे अकबर का एक सेनानायक अबुल फजल इब्न मुबारक कंफ्यूज हो गया कि कौन हमारे तरफ से लड़ रहे हैं और कौन दुश्मन के तरफ से हैं

फिर अबुल फजल इब्न मुबारक ने अब्द अल कादिर से पूछा दोनों तरफ के राजपूत केसरिया साफा पहने हैं मैं कैसे पहचान करूं कि कौन अपनी तरफ से है और कौन दुश्मन की तरफ से है

तब मैंने यानी अब्द अल कादिर बदायूनी ने कहा अबुल फजल बस तीर और फरसा चलाते रहो भाला फेंकते रहो मरने वाले तो काफिर ही होंगे ना चाहे हमारे तरफ के मरे या दुश्मन के तरफ से मरे .. किधर भी तीर चलाओ किसी को मारो जीत इस्लाम की ही होगी..अगर हम युद्ध जीत सके तो ठीक नही जीते तो कम से कम खुदा को यह तो कह देंगे कि हमने काफिरों को मारा
