Kudos to @rpraggnachess on becoming the Norway Chess Champion 2026.
You have made the nation proud with the victory earned through wholehearted dedication, brilliant moves and strategic thinking. May you continue to inspire our youngsters by bringing home more honours.
The office of Chief of Defence Staff is not just a position.
It’s a strategic necessity.
Because the defining mantra of modern warfare is no longer just strength.
It is integration.
Congratulations and good luck to General N S Raja Subramani.
India has always produced some of the finest and brightest military professionals in the world.
And he seems no exception.
No theatrics. No swagger.
Just composure, clarity and what appears to be nerves of steel.
I was particularly struck by his articulate vision of India’s new-age military-industrial complex …one that brings together the armed forces, private sector, academia, startups, research and innovation.
That’s exactly the kind of integrated thinking modern defence demands.
We’re in good hands.
👏🏽🇮🇳

CDS General Anil Chauhan wore the Colonel rank insignia during his visit to the 11 Gorkha Rifles Regimental Centre and 6/11 Gorkha Rifles.
He donned the rank as the Honorary Colonel of the Regiment, a proud Army tradition linked to regimental identity and camaraderie.
The gesture reflects the strong bond between officers and soldiers, where the senior-most commander is seen as part of the regimental family.
Commissioned into the 11 Gorkha Rifles, Gen Chauhan’s visit was viewed as a homecoming to the battalion where his military journey began.
