🇺🇸🇬🇧🇯🇵 The typical American, German and Brit are all POORER than they were in 2020.
The typical Japanese? Over 50% richer.
That’s median wealth per adult after inflation, from UBS’s latest Global Wealth Report.
The typical American and German are both down almost 20%, and the Brits got hit hardest of the 3, losing 23.6%. France is down 12.2% too.
Japan, meanwhile, posted the biggest gain of any country UBS tracks, followed by the UAE, up roughly 40%.
FEWER THAN HALF the countries in the report have a typical adult who’s better off than at the start of the decade.
6 years, a pandemic and an energy crisis later, and the “rich” West has some explaining to do.
