When performing a Dumbbell Chest Press, begin in an incline press position. Once fatigued, go to a flat press position either by dropping the bench down or going onto the floor. You’ve now put yourself in a stronger position than where you started the set, allowing more reps!
When performing a Bicep Curl using dumbbells, begin with regular bicep curls. This puts maximum tension on the biceps and isolates them. Once fatigued, switch to a hammer curl. You’re now recruiting forearm muscles to help make this movement easier.
Imagine yourself as a rubber band. As you get stronger, and more resilient, you are able to stretch farther without breaking. Having created that strength for yourself, you are able to return back to your original, unstretched state without a single mark left on you.
On days where I’m feeling overwhelmed by setbacks, I have resilience. I’ve created this by being consistent, and building confidence in myself and what I’m doing. I will overcome this challenge because I’ve established the tools for myself to always be growing through difficulty
Some crazy lat activation 🔥

It’s an important lesson to me, and shows me how intentional you can be with your goals in the gym.
If you’re not seeing results, are you being consistent and intentional with your training, and with your diet?
Bulking… Here’s why I struggle with it.
I never have a problem hitting my protein goal, and I never have a problem taking in a ton of calories.
For bulking, I’ve dramatically increased my caloric intake and also the amount of carbs I’m taking in.

This isn’t entirely a bad thing. I love going hard in the gym and feeling strong.
It is also a perfect representation of the first law of thermodynamics in the human body. Which describes how we convert food into energy.
