18 years ago, my dad died. I was barely 3 years old. I don’t remember much, but I remember what life felt like afterward — heavy. Confusing. Dark. It was just my mum, my siblings, and a survival instinct we didn’t even understand yet.

Not a storyteller, but if this pushes something inside you… then you’re only a few steps away from becoming the version of yourself you dream about.

My mum worked a job that paid her less than $60 a month. That was supposed to feed us, clothe us, keep us alive, and give us hope. Most months, it didn’t even cover the basics. I saw her cry more than she smiled, and even as a child, I understood what pain looked like.

We struggled to meet up. And when things got worse, I had to drop out of secondary school so she could keep my other siblings in class. I watched my dreams take a back seat so others could have a chance. It hurt, but it built me.

It taught me that sometimes life won’t hand you comfort — it will hand you battles. And the only way forward is to fight them with everything inside you.

People see the results today, but they don’t see the nights I went to bed hungry. They don’t see the moments I questioned if my life would ever change. They don’t see the days my mum prayed with tears instead of words.

But here’s the part that matters: (Psalms 30:5)

If you don’t quit, it eventually pays you back.

I just got my mum a new car
Moved her into a better home.
I got myself four cars under 2 years
Built a house worth over 250 million Naira

I rebuilt my life from nothing — not because I was lucky, but because I refused to let my past dictate my future.

You’re not as far from your dream life as you think.
Your story can change.
Your reality can shift.
Your future is still in your hands.

You owe yourself the version of you that breaks every barrier life placed in your way. 🤍

@MusaGwary Very sad,allow people live where they feel safe, and fend for their livelihoods. The government always make poor,risky and and avoidable decisions just to prove non existent safety and security of it's people.
