We bid a heartfelt farewell to our Chargé d’Affaires, Howard Solomon, as he concludes an honorable 29-year Foreign Service career and departs Vienna after three years leading @usunvie.

Howard led with kindness while advancing safe, secure, and peaceful uses of nuclear technology; countering drugs and crime; and promoting American innovation and leadership in space. We thank our @UN_Vienna colleagues for their partnership in these efforts. We recognize CDA Solomon for his remarkable service to our nation and wish him every success in his next chapter! 🇺🇸

On January 13, 1982, Arland Dean Williams Jr. boarded Air Florida Flight 90 not knowing it would be his last flight, the last day of his life and that he would be declared a hero by the President of the United States.
