The RJC congratulates @EdGallrein on his decisive primary victory tonight. Kentucky Republicans sent an unmistakable message: there is no place in the Republican Party for those who turn their back on the MAGA agenda. For years, the Republican Jewish Coalition has opposed Thomas Massie, and for good reason.

Massie has been a thorn in the side of President Trump, the Republican Party, and the Jewish community writ large, siding time and again with the far-left Squad on top issues of concern. In addition to opposing the Working Families Tax Cuts, opposing border security funding, and opposing Holocaust education funding, Massie has stood alone among House Republicans in opposing aid to our ally Israel, voting against bipartisan resolutions condemning antisemitism, and, in the aftermath of the October 7, 2023 Hamas terrorist attack — the worst massacre of Jews since the Holocaust — Massie voted against emergency assistance for Israel as it fought a war for its very survival. His record is indefensible, and tonight, the Republican primary voters of Kentucky held him accountable.

Notably, Massie’s conduct throughout this campaign–trafficking in antisemitism and bottom-of-the-barrel nativism at a time when Jew-hatred is on the rise–was wildly unacceptable and outrageous from an elected member of Congress.

The RJC is incredibly gratified to stand with Ed Gallrein in this hard-fought campaign victory. The Republican Jewish Coalition and the RJC Victory Fund allocated $5 million dollars to support Ed Gallrein in this record-breaking Congressional primary.

Unlike the Democrats, who continue to appease and enable the worst elements of their radicalized party base, the RJC continues to lead the fight for Republican values, deploying significant resources in the most pivotal elections across the country.

Thomas Massie invited — from out of state — a known Holocaust denier wearing "American Reich" clothes into his home this weekend.

But he refused to meet with a local Rabbi, bizarrely smearing him — publicly! — as a foreign agent.

@BluegrassRabbi was born & raised in Kentucky, and though he lives just outside the district (it appears no rabbi lives within), he ministers in the 4th District, where some of his congregants live.

Here's the kicker: Rabbi Litvin wanted to discuss criminal justice reform, NOT Israel or "foreign policy."

So why would Massie refuse to meet with any Kentucky resident active in his district, especially to discuss a thoroughly domestic issue?

Better yet, why would a Member of Congress then USE HIS OFFICIAL GOVERNMENT X ACCOUNT to justify the refusal by falsely smearing that Rabbi as a "lobby[ist] for a foreign government"?

The answer to both questions is probably the same reason he opened his home to an overt Holocaust denier, right on the eve of the election.

In the late 19th century, Muslim Bosnians (including Inea’s grandparents), fled Bosnia to Ottoman Syria, after Austria-Hungary took control of Bosnia.

Inea’s father’s family lived in Tulkaram, but he himself lived in Jerusalem where Inea was born.

In the 1930’s, Inea’s father had a Job in England, he returned to Mandatory Palestine after a few years, but in 1948 they decided to move back to England.

They were not expelled, and no one forced them to move to England. As a matter of fact, Tulkaram, and the old city of Jerusalem remained under Jordanian Arab control. Not a single Zionist to bee seen there.

So in summary, this is a European with no strong roots in the land of Israel, whose family made the decision to immigrate back to the continent of their grandparents instead of remaining under Arab control.

You know what? When there are terrorist attacks in the US by extremists I’d prefer that the same politicians and podcasters who egg them on with non stop inflammatory rhetoric and by endorsing Hamas rallies and who refuse to condemn phrases like “Globalize the intifada” and who blame everything on Jews don’t then try to act surprised or sympathetic when these attacks happen. It’s insulting and you’re not fooling anybody. I’d rather Mamdani be more like his wife who probably already smashed the like button a billion times and threw a party at Gracie Mansion.
