Visiting #Futurebuild2024 to catch up with all that’s new in construction, retrofit, heat networks and energy efficiency. Lots of cool stuff, but - unless I missed it - no-one pedalling hydrogen-related tech (not even boilers). Intriguing.

Good to visit #futurebuild2023. There has often been a theme running through the exhibitors' stands (eg. biomass in the year when Code level 6 was a thing), but today I couldn't detect anything that specific. This is GOOD, because it suggests that our market is now mature.

SAP's occupancy equation works well where “national average” household size needs to be assumed for certain sizes of home (eg. for regulatory purposes). But it isn't accurate when predicting *actual* household size for any *specific* home. Know any equations that work for that?

There are electronic gadgets that detect the presence of low-emissivity coatings on double-glazed windows, and measure the glass thickness and gap width. But are there gadgets which can indicate the presence (or not) of argon/krypton fill in a unit in-situ?
