I seldom comment on politics because frankly, what is the point?

€70,000 is significantly above the average salary in Ireland. If a person earning over this does not have a lot of discretionary spend every month (debatable), what does that say about the Government's policies?

A totally discriminatory proposal. Makes the erroneous assumption that a person earning over €70k has discretionary spend at the end of the month.
Many are stretched at present.
A hard working person being penalised for populism!
