I think the issue lays more in the missing attention span of people or them not being familiar with using public transportation at all. Because objectively, it’s really not that bad.

I'm sure the writers didn't intend it because the script for the movie was written as it was being animated, so it's just improv comedy, but it's interesting to think about how even unintentionally you can create comedy that's incredibly in line with the characters.
