@timClicks Does Rust have good patterns for async queues and worker fan-out,fan-in?
I see a lot of Python async code that is interesting, but lacks concurrency controls.
@oddynz I also ran in to issues with Go.
There was a person at work who had used Go for a while and had moved to Rust. When I pushed him for his opinion, he mentioned most of the problems I was starting to hit in Go.
I'm yet to learn Rust properly, but it appears harder but worth it.
@paulgb@timClicks Is that a Python lambda, and if so, do you use an abstraction layer? I found native DDB a bit frustrating to work with, and have used pynamodb.
@timClicks@paulgb No need to yield; I was just curious. There is a small amount I know, and huge amount I don't know. (Especially in the dev space) Opportunities to be introduced to new ways to think should be valued.
@photosync_app does your Android app handle tracking photos that are moved from Internal Storage to SD Card, and showing the user it has already been transferred to a target?
Random thought of the night; do polypropylene, and polyethylene have different light absorbion or reflection outside of visual spectrum that could be used in recycling plants for automatic sorting.
@jethrocarr My Bose headphones have issues mostly related to two devices being connected, which is quite difficult to prevent. If a laptop is going to sleep, sometimes that blocks the other device playing. Also I've been told I sound terrible on phone calls, so disconnect laptop.
@WgtnCC I'm looking for guidance on how to dispose of both prescription, and non-prescription medicines (paracetamol, anti-septic creams, chest rubs etc). I couldn't find anything on your website.
