We need intentionality in considering connection of programs. There are often huge gaps in opportunities along a timeline. Are all the programs in the summer? Are they only for a certain age? #NEIT22
We need to be creating documentation of all of the out of school opportunities available to kids. When we do this, inequity becomes incredibly clear. Measures - abundance, richness, and evenness. #NEIT22#literacydevelopment
Important structures around the city that were important - home, school, community centers, playground. The use of reduced bus fare made this happen. When school was out, participation went down. This made the importance of infrastructure very clear. #NEIT22
Using community spaces (hubs) in this way draws kids from various geographical locations and they can collaborate in rich ways since they are self selecting to be there. #NEIT22

When kids have the one to one model of tech, learning pathways can break down to school (media arts classes), home (self directed), after school programs (interest based). #NEIT22
A great reminder that learning time isn't *only* happening in school. Vast amounts of learning happen outside of school hours and outside of the school building. #NEIT22
