I find it appalling that the “human safari” in Sarajevo (1992-96) is only now gaining attention. This inhumane practice has been known for years, and it should have sparked outrage long ago…
During the siege of Sarajevo (1992–1996). Wealthy foreigners traveled to Bosnia and paid Serbian forces up to 90,000$ for the “thrill” of shooting at Bosniak Muslim civilians trapped in the city.
Men, women, and CHILDREN, became targets for sport.
Muslims were systematically dehumanized, portrayed as enemies, pests, and less than human. Propaganda turned compassion into cruelty, making it possible for outsiders to see human life as nothing more than moving targets.
This was not just war. It was a grotesque intersection of hatred, money, and voyeurism, a genocide turned into entertainment.
The so called “Sarajevo Safari” exposed the darkest truth of human nature. When hate and propaganda strip people of their humanity even murder can be sold as a game.
The world watched. The world knew. And yet it looked away.
May some justice finally emerge and may the perpetrators one day face the punishment they deserve.
@DiforTrump@RyanRozbiani They weren’t in a war zone. They were in international waters. This is an act of piracy. Also, wars are between two states. You can only have a war if you acknowledge Palestine as a state.
Breaking Bad has an alternate ending on DVD where Bryan Cranston wakes up as Hal from Malcolm in the Middle — revealing the entire series was just a nightmare.
