Namibia plans to launch a new project, aiming to address human-wildlife conflict and wildlife crime, while benefitting over 22,000 people. 🇳🇦
Conflict between people and wildlife occurs due to human population growth, the demand for 🌱 natural resources, and the loss of natural habitats. Until now, limited funding and human resources have made it difficult to manage these challenges effectively.
🤝 🐾 As a result, the Namibian government will be implementing this initiative to incentivise rural communities for conserving wildlife. The planned activities will include upgrading water infrastructure, building protective barriers and installing innovative wildlife monitoring systems. Specialised equipment will also be provided for field staff, which will contribute in their anti-poaching efforts. It is a win-win situation as the project is estimated to directly benefit 4,520 people and indirectly impact an additional 18,100.
Peaceful coexistence is possible and all the more reason projects such as these are a crucial step towards conservation that prioritises the well-being of both Namibia’s people and wildlife. 💚

The Intersection of Climate Finance & Gender Equity
Climate change isn’t gender-neutral neither should finance be.
Yet women across Africa, despite facing greater climate risks, receive a tiny share of climate funding.

✅ Put women in decision-making roles
Because equity isn’t a side note it’s the solution.

Policy is not background noise. It's catalytic capital.
With the right mix of tax breaks & clarity, African governments can de-risk green ventures and ignite industries.
When policy aligns with purpose, profit follows.

@mkopakenya Nigeria’s National Gas Expansion Programme is another win. It’s spurring startups like Green Energy Biofuels, which makes clean cooking fuel reducing pollution & deforestation.
Policy made this shift investable.

This weekend, I had the honour of speaking at a panel that deeply resonated with me "Financial Freedom & Work-Life Balance as Mums", hosted by @MoneyStartHQ for #TheMumFund.
With @GraceLaDoja, Ore Lawani, and our host Feyi Bello, we explored wealth, legacy & leadership.
Our roles as mothers don’t limit us — they position us to lead with empathy, build trust, and create systems where others thrive.
True wealth isn’t just what we build.
It’s who we become.
Thank you to all who joined the conversation.
