prime call of duty’s had a formula that worked even for its worst game. a very simple, intentional system:

- boots on the ground with no slide
- fast ADS speed & ADS movement speed
- sprint with stamina limit
- open matchmaking that prioritizes ping

call of duty thinking they could sell a DLC as a full game w MW3 & BO7 did something i thought would never happen. the cod cycle hype they’ve relied on for a decade+ doesn’t seem to be enough anymore. the greed got to a point where it might’ve permanently stained the franchise

the incompetence of activision's leadership is 1 of 1. crazy how not being manipulated by an algorithm makes a game more enjoyable to play. but no, everything in modern gaming has to be anally optimized to squeeze out the every last penny from a customer. BO7, we'll remember you
