Says the taxpayer funded no-mark who’s response to taxpayers understandably pissed off about taxpayer-funded politicians flushing the taxpaying public’s economy down the shitter and having parties while the taxpaying public obeyed the law was to flip them the bird. #fuckthetories
To all the presenters pulling out of the show in solidarity with #Lineker, no problem, why don't you leave the taxpayer funded #BBC then you all can be as sanctimonious and vocal as you like. Or lets #DefundTheBBC
My very traditional, Daily Mail reading lifetime Tory voting stepdad has just resigned from the Tory party. He’s revolted by them; the corruption and lies and constant defending of the indefensible. If they’ve lost him, in Winchester, I can’t see how they win a GE anywhere.
IT'S HAPPENING
Someone told me this week that a Tory friend of his had been out canvassing in a classic London Tory stronghold.
He said he'd never had as many doors slammed in his face as he did this week.
Keep on slamming 🚪
There is now an exodus of young, talented people to Italy and Portugal. The 1970s brain drain is back. Tory party is totally useless.

Don’t waste a single second worrying about being 33. In the blink of an eye you’ll be 50 and there’ll still be plenty of time to do all the things you want to do.
Conservative MP Scott Benton says his constituents are "sick and tired of this ridiculous narrative of economic migrants somehow being mistreated at Manston.
He says his constituents "could only dream of" receiving the same sort of treatment.
If he had a trusted team of talented people and a united Tory party behind him, he could do both. That he feels the need to stay in the UK and be seen as personally in charge seems like weakness and a lack of confidence.
It's a disgrace that @RishiSunak isn't going to @COP27P He says he needs to concentrate on pressing domestic issues. There is no bigger pressing issue facing us domestically than Climate Change.
The cross-party Culture Committee on which I sit has published a report concluding that Nadine Dorries gave us wholly inaccurate evidence when she appeared before us as Culture Secretary. Misleading parliament is serious. I have sent our report to the parliamentary authorities.
‘Globalist’ is the new ‘woke’. Words that have lost their original meanings and now serve only to identity those who use them as raging right wingers and frothing bigots.
Expect to see more of this sort of discourse on the British Right. Sunak is supposedly a "globalist", installed by Klaus Schwab and the World Economic Forum to block the true will of the people.
A day is a long time in politics...
Given today's news, it's clear that we should turn to @RishiSunak to become our next Prime Minister. Rishi is immensely talented, will command a strong majority in the parliamentary Conservative Party, and will have my full support & loyalty.
Do you think Johnson statement tells the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth? If so press LIKE. If on the other hand you think it is the deluded self-serving bullshit of a disgraced lying lawbreaker press RETWEET
But then he has to actually be PM at a very difficult time. It’s not 2019 and the low hanging fruit of getting Brexit ‘done’ has been plucked. It’s time for grown up serious, probably unpopular, decisions against very strong head winds. Not exactly his comfort zone.
@paulwaugh@stephenkb But if he goes to the members against Sunak he doesn't have to fear losing, does he? They love him... for some unfathomable reason.
I believe that Boris Johnson has qualities but they are not those of being a PM. The rush of tory MPs to support him suggest they have forgotten why he was pushed out. It suggests self interest (my seat?) over national interest & true patriotism. Can the patriots stand up PLEASE
Then Johnson (not Boris!) would presumably ‘win’ but spend the next two years wrangling his own parliamentary party, doing shoddy deals and trying to shore up his own financial interests while completely failing to addres the ever-deepening shit the rest of us are wading through.
@BethRigby What happens if Rishi gets 209 votes and Boris 101. Goes to members and the go for Boris. No one can then claim Boris has the backing of MPs.
Didn’t quite get the response he was expecting there. It’s almost as if Johnson isn’t actually as popular in the real world as his cult members believe.
