One of the ones I’m forever grateful joined us. 1 of the most motivating individuals i have met along the way&someone who has the power to impact so many lives as she continues her journey, as she has done for us.
Cannot wait till see your senior year. Forever in your corner!!
The end of an AAU season is always hard for me. Every week was a new page of a variety of things:
- Learning about these kids everyday lives,
- Finding new ways to develop relationships and trust,
- Defining adversity and finding ways to get out of it together,
- Seeing new friendships form,
- Seeing a place we call home grow more w/ passion, love, care, and maturity.
There’s a lot more to be said but for now, I’ll keep it with just those. As a chapter ends for a lot of these 2025’s in the AAU world, I hope this chapter showed them that it’s more than just ‘AAU’. It’s bigger than that. I hope they know how much they are loved for, cared for, and see how badly the will to see them succeed on and off the court, trumps all other things.
We built a lot this year, they helped build the blueprint that those who walked before them left, and those who will walk after them will follow. It’s a hard end to a chapter when you care so much about each individual person. Because when you turn the page, it’s not just a new page… it’s a new book. A book where you have to build it all again just like they did. Day by day; week by week; story by story; chapter by chapter.
Maybe some see it differently in this ‘section’ of basketball, but when FAMILY has a real meaning in this place, it allows you to feel it that much more.
25’s, you are forever family. You left this place better than you found it. You helped grow our name. You helped define who we are. Never change.
Proud is an understatement. Can’t wait to see the next chapter for all of you. No matter what it is, and what you do, we will be there.
For a final time… Family On 3.
