Last XC for the season, Lyra and Deklan represented West Wales at the Inter Counties Cross Country in Nottingham. The weather was lovely and dry and hardly any mud. The course was tough and very fast, but they both ran fantastically.

So proud of Lyra and Deklan! They took part in the Cardiff Vault 2024, at NIAC on Sunday. Both got a 5cm PB, and finished 2nd in their pools (mixed ages, similar abilities). Lyra finished on 2.96m, and Deklan finished on 2.26m.

Well done Lyra! She broke 5 club records, shared 1st place for U15G and got the Don Roberts award (Junior Athlete of the year) at the LlanelliAthleticsClub Awards evening.
She also did the Llanelli 10km and finished with an amazing time of 47:05 min.

In the U15 Boys Pole Vault Deklan jumped 2.18 to win Silver medal and in the 800m Deklan finished 4th with a new PB of 2.28.10. @StJohnLloydPE

Well done to Lyra competing at the Cardiff Christmas Classic 2023. She smashed her PoleVault record by 19cm, 2.90m and got an indoor 3000m PB of 11.49. Both new club records for Llanelli AAC. Well done!! @StJohnLloydPE @Llanelliaac

Well done both Lyra and Deklan for competing in the Junior Open Athletics day 1 in Cardiff Sunday. Lyre got a PB in HJ, and did a solid 300m. Deklan got a PB in 300m and gold for West Wales. Amazing achievement for both as they compete in a new age category. @StJohnLloydPE
