IPOB is a revolutionary movement against corruption, injustice, extra-judicial kị́llings, imposition of leaders through rigging and the Supreme Court. IPOB has been blackmailed, accused, members kị́lled and imprisoned. Agent provocateurs have been recruited, and Igbo people were kị́lled, kidnapped and made to pay ransom just to have IPOB destroyed. The Nigerian government have used many methods to try to break Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, all to no avail.

I know that you people don't hear. Unu adiro anụ ife. People in power are always deaf and dumb. They don't read signs, and they don't simply care. But it will happen for all of you reading this to see and understand. Mazi Nnamdi Kanu will be free. He is coming out, and persecution has made him stronger. Mazi Nnamdi Kanu will come out stronger than any human in Igbo land. His words will be law. He will take over his position as the leader of IPOB, saying what happens, and the restoration of Biafra will be at hand. The political leaders of today will try to incorporate him, but their selfishness and corrupt-minded attitude will not allow it.

IPOB will dethrone the leaders of today. IPOB will retire them all. It will be a payback to many years of corruption, looting and reckless kị́llings.

These leaders knew these things more than some IPOB members. IPOB posed a great danger to the leaders of today. That's why they proscribed you. That's why they looked the other way as Operation Python Dance 1, 2 and 3 happened. An operation that saw the death of hundreds of youths and many others still languishing in prison in the northern prisons.

This was why they used Imo State as a concentration camp where they barbarically slaughtered our people for three years using 3rd party who pretended to love Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

This is why, upon the accelerated judgment of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, none of them is making comments.

Presently, the politics in Nigeria requires the freedom of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. He will be released through the court, and he will be vindicated. His freedom will carry one big symbolic message. A message I won't say here.

IPOB PRESS STATEMENT: NIGERIAN GOVERNMENT'S ANTI-IPOB MEDIA CAMPAIGN IS A DELIBERATE PLOY TO MANIPULATE PUBLIC OPINION.

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) strongly condemns the Nigerian government’s orchestrated media campaign to demonize our movement, particularly as the court hearing of our leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, approaches. For four years, government-friendly media houses have peddled false narratives, labeling IPOB as violent to sway public opinion and influence Abuja-based courts. This well-financed operation seeks to distract from the undeniable truth: the APC government has no case against Kanu.

IPOB is a non-violent self-determination movement advocating for a democratic referendum to restore Biafra. No IPOB member has ever been convicted of any crime in Nigeria, yet the government persists in scapegoating us to divert attention from Fulani massacres and widespread insecurity across the country. The recent claim of a “police raid on an IPOB terror camp” in Imo State is another fabrication. IPOB maintains no camps in Imo or anywhere else. Criminal elements like the Biafra Liberation Army, unaffiliated with IPOB, have openly collaborated with state actors, including Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma, while figures like Asari Dokubo boast of state-sponsored killings in Igboland. Shamefully, corrupt media houses ignore these verifiable allegations, choosing instead to propagate lies for profit.

Under President Tinubu, the APC government continues Buhari’s anti-Igbo policies, suppressing dissent and fueling ethnic tensions. Media complicity in this repression is a betrayal of truth and justice. IPOB reiterates its commitment to ending insecurity in the East and demands:

1. The immediate release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu from illegal detention by the Nigerian and UK governments.

2. An international panel of inquiry, led by the United States, to investigate the root causes of insecurity in Igboland and expose the true culprits.

We call on the international community to hold the Nigerian government accountable for its manipulative tactics and human rights abuses. The pursuit of a referendum is not terrorism—it is a democratic right. The world must see through Nigeria’s lies and stand with the truth.

NIGERIAN GOVERNMENT'S SHAMELESS EXPLOITATION OF MAZI NNAMDI KANU'S DETENTIONS: A NATIONAL DISGRACE-IPOB.

The noble family of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) unequivocally condemns the Nigerian government’s relentless exploitation of our leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, and the suffering masses of Nigeria in a scandalous scheme that reeks of corruption, greed, and moral bankruptcy. As Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s case comes up again on Friday, March 21, 2025, before Justice James Omotosho at the Federal High Court in Abuja, the world must bear witness to the grotesque spectacle of a government that extorts its impoverished citizens while perpetuating injustice under the guise of legal proceedings.

It is an outrageous travesty that every court appearance of our leader—a mere five-minute drive from the DSS dungeon where he is unjustly held—costs Nigerians over 500 million Naira. This obscene figure, confirmed by Lai Mohammed, the former Minister for Information, in 2021 following Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s illegal abduction and extraordinary rendition, is a windfall for the heads of Nigeria’s security agencies and senior members of the Abuja Division of the Federal High Court. Since June 2021, when Mazi Nnamdi Kanu was kidnapped and dumped into detention, he has been dragged to court approximately 11 times under Justice Binta Nyako, amounting to a staggering 5.5 billion Naira squandered by this APC-led government on a cumulative journey of just 22 miles. This is not justice—it is a looting spree, sanctioned by the likes of former Attorney-General Abubakar Malami and executed without scrutiny or shame.

While the Nigerian government bleeds its citizens dry with this fraudulent budgeting, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu languishes in DSS custody, denied basic dignity. For nearly four years, he has been forced to wear the same Fendi outfit he was abducted in—a symbol of the torture and degradation he has endured. Despite the millions allegedly allocated for his "upkeep and welfare," the DSS has neither provided him with new clothing nor permitted a change of attire. Where, then, has this money gone? Into the pockets of the beneficiaries of insecurity—those vultures in uniform and robes who profit from his prolonged detention and have no interest in seeing this case resolved.

The Nigerian masses, already crushed under unprecedented economic hardship, are the true victims of this grand theft. As families struggle to survive, the APC government funnels billions into the hands of a corrupt elite, all while parading Mazi Nnamdi Kanu before the courts in a sham trial designed to perpetuate this racket. This is not governance; it is a criminal enterprise masquerading as a state.

IPOB demands an immediate end to this charade. We call on the international community, human rights organizations, and all people of conscience to hold the Nigerian government accountable for its actions. The continued detention of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the extortion of Nigeria’s suffering citizens, and the profiteering by security chiefs and judicial officers must not be allowed to stand. We will not rest until justice is served, and those responsible for this national disgrace are brought to book.

The beneficiaries of this 5.5 billion Naira largesse may believe they are untouchable, but the eyes of the world are watching. The blood money they siphon from the poor will choke them in due time. IPOB remains resolute: Free Mazi Nnamdi Kanu now, and let the truth prevail!
