I won’t be able to see my parents, friends, my absolutely adored pet dogs Luna and Goldie, or our new cat, Winter. I won’t get to see the people at church for a very long time. I’ll be thousands of kilometers away from the life I know, and that scares me so much.

In the next few weeks, my life is about to change. It’s the most excited I’ve ever been, but also the most scared I’ve ever been. I’m about to lose everything familiar. I won’t be seeing the people I know anymore, go to places I’ve always gone to, or eat the food I like.
