@Soy_Marta_@CAFwomen The ref was pressured - same way they did with the one from Algeria game but this one really tried to be firm on this game... the last minute trickster from the players and fans added salt to the wound.
@Nsikakudo6@CAFwomen But i feel like from all the referees in this tournament she tried to be fair honestly - drawing from Malawi's game if that referee was on Cameroon's one Morocco would've even won. I blame the Morocco players & fans at large they pressured that ref into giving them a penalty.
@extrapolateASG@tobyasky Exacttlyyy 🙌🏼 that crowd is so annoying they are intimidating everyone... and this is normally the problem playing with Morocco they are always playing tricks - glad they missed that penalty.
🇲🇼 MALAWI ARE MAKING HISTORY!
Their first-ever WAFCON appearance.
Their first-ever WAFCON semi-final.
Their first-ever Women’s World Cup qualification. 🇲🇼🏆
And now, after beating Algeria, the Scorchers have reached the WAFCON FINAL at the first time of asking. 🤯🔥
Amwene, we are invested in the Scorchers; everyone is talking about them and rooting for them. This is the only thing that has made Malawi proud in a long time. Imagine if we had a few things going well! No matter the outcome today, for once we are proud to be Malawians!
Those foolish, football ignorant people in #Nigeria that wanted my head years ago: You now know Tabitha CHAWINGA, as she has led the Scorchers of #Malawi to the 2026 #WAFCON final in their tournament debut. Right? 😏🚶🏽➡️🚶🏽➡️
Malawi have qualified for the Women's World Cup for the first time 🇲🇼👏
Booked their spot with a 2-1 comeback win vs. Ghana in the AFCON quarterfinals.
They were 153rd in the latest world rankings 🤯
