Hey! My team is hiring: https://t.co/moacBK3bI3
If you're interested, let me know so I can get you a referral link. Location is listed as Germany, but of course we're flexible so don't let that stop you if you live somewhere else.
Oh, and I should probably talk about what we do for those who aren't aware. My team does on-prem networking for OpenShift, which is basically all the networking stuff that you don't have to worry about/can't do in the cloud.
First work trip in almost three years, and so far MSP replaced all my favorite restaurants and the stupid corporate card they insisted I have to use now...doesn't work. I had to type in the number manually just to get a bottle of pop. Off to a great start! ๐คช

Given that I'm working at most half days this week that's basically an impossible task. Hope nobody wanted to get ahold of me anytime soon. ;-)
Hot tip for any UX designers out there: No one likes popups. No one. If you're showing me a popup it had better be for a literal life-and-death scenario, not so you can regale me with your latest features.
Looking at you, every web app. ๐คฌ
@matthewdbooth I saw them both back to back on BTTF Day a few years ago and can confirm. I still enjoy the concept of the second one, but it got a lot less reaction from the crowd. Not nearly as many memorable moments.

Your periodic reminder that "perfection is the enemy of good" applies to politics too.
Has Biden done everything I want? No.
Has he done a lot of good? Yes.
The narrative that Democrats don't do anything is right wing propaganda. Don't fall for it.
Apparently this is yet another joy of deregulation. The @FCC stopped requiring cable cards so the 141000 people using them today are SOL.
Streaming is not a valid replacement. That's _why_ I still pay for cable.

Just got an email that @GetSpectrum is dropping support for Cable Cards, which means I would no longer be able to use my DVR. This could very well result in me dropping cable entirely since I have no interest in paying for their inferior DVR every month.
Naturally this got announced about an hour after I re-upped my channel guide subscription for the next year. At least Schedules Direct is an awesome service so if my $25 ends up being a donation I won't feel bad about it.
Companies take note: I _will_ be voting with my dollars when you try to force me into subscriptions I don't want.
If @metronetfiber supports cable cards they are likely getting a new customer in the near future.
