@txsalth2o One soft drink (pop) a day , mom would make fruity deserts occasionally, also pudding. Hand me down sports gear or school provided. Only two of us kids so didn’t share. No food delivery in our town. Had an Atari 2600, then a NES growing up.

@txsalth2o 980 sq ft, sold for $28 k when I was a sophomore in high school, currently worth $79k on Zillow. We ordered clothes out of Jc penny and sears, made a spring a fall trip (60 miles) to the city for school clothes and summer clothes. Only one food place in town (Dairy Cone),

@txsalth2o Little league baseball, school sports, drag racing at local track 45 minutes away with home built race cars. Always hand me down furniture till I was in early high school.

@txsalth2o Mom drove 60 miles to work so every few years. Dad drove an old Bronco we put a home rebuilt 351 in. Camped at the lake every year, borrowed granolas boat to ski, my favorite. Snow ski every couple years (10 hr drive to winter park).

@txsalth2o Got cable in jr hight, watched shows or rented a vcr and watched vhs tapes. Drive in theater 25 miles away, would go there some, was a big night. One rotary phone in kitchen.

@txsalth2o Ate there 1-2 times a month, every other week drove 25 miles to grocery store, got Pizza Hut on way home as a treat.
