bsd is not meant to be consumed from a moral perspective ! expecting its characters to suffer consequences, when the series is so blatantly pro rehabilitative justice and keeps shoving into your face that a character's mistakes doesn't define them, is kinda missing the point ngl

I'm frim believer he started smoking in the sheep when he was preteen mostly because they were s bunch of kids without any guidance so it sort of natural to assume they started drinking and smoking at young age and shirase the one who taught him

i think it's a really neat detail that irl dazai was mostly known for his first person novels, meanwhile we rarely ever see bsd dazai's narration, let alone 1st person POV, in the LNs :D

だから正確には旗会事件の「動機」は作品のどこにも書いてない。

しかし文ストは現代IPなので、キャラには様々な設定が付け加えられている。

この作品において太を象徴する花「黄薔薇」の花言葉の一つに「嫉妬」がある。

つまり、「内心は本文に書いてないが、作品全体としては記述してあるのかもしれない」みたいな状況になってる

文学の発表形態として非常にユニークな試みと言える

its simply a story about humans being humans without trying to point fingers at who's in the right and who's in the wrong lest you wanna blame the system itself :D so we should all appreciate the beauty in that instead ( ￣▽￣) ugly humans make beautiful stories ☆
