@darkandcrude If you show the family as richie rich, it's easier to dive into one-dimensional themes of family trauma. Wake up sid only works because he's actually rich

show me a film where sid is poor and then wakes up

only the rare filmmakers pull of films with such depth and skill

@ShivAroor Need a conclusive verdict on what actually happened to AI171. Was it a Boeing issue?

1. Go to US
2. Find a small niche/community for your product (college students, stoners, run club members, chess guys, whatever)
3. Start marketing it to them and see if it’s a fit
4. Tweak product/marketing until there’s a fit
5. Target more such communities

If you can’t do step 1, there’s probably a way to do steps 2-5 online but tough to crack reliably

@freeallpenguins I don’t trust MBBS doctors but I’m afraid it’s loaded tweets like this one that work for me

I was writing about this idea yesterday. There are ways you can literally skip the hiring line. The effort you put into a pitch increases the perceived value of the communication. The effort itself becomes the pitch.

Forget the cold DM.

This person made a 2 minute video just to get one person's attention.

That's how you get hired!

@polymathinvest1 Happy to see Charlie Munger in there. If you’re new to mental models, studying him is the best entry point.

He who suffers from an energy deficiency will view all opportunity as his last one to turn things around, for the thought of continuing beyond that moment is unbearable. And yet, life persists beyond your limits. If you don't allow it to happen, every day you'll be hurt and scarred thinking, "This is my last chance to turn things around," repeating the cycle daily.

@TVachaW Why does the body fear consciousness or being aware of itself?

I do a type of bodyscanning meditation that has helped me a lot. But when I’m in a screen addiction spiral, I feel a strong resistance to doing the bodyscanning meditation. That’s when I need the bodyscan the most.

@TVachaW I recently started working with my anger and every word of this resonates. This basically summarizes everything I’ve learned over the last few months.
