In the study, featuring 19 authors- of which only 𝐓𝐖𝐎 are 'scientists' from India, both in the field of biotechnology, along with 17 other 'scientists' none from India, and no clinicians or epidemiologists, a staggering discovery was made.

The death rate due to Covid which was reportedly 5-8 fold lower in India compared to "West" was due to "health promoting" food items rich in turmeric and other spices such as steamed savory rice cake (a.k.a the idli), red kidney beans (a.k.a rajma) and Indian tea (a.k.a chai).

The reason for more death rate from Covid in the West? Red meat, dairy products and processed foods - based on cherry picked "key' food components across four countries.

It seems, the Indian diet suppressed cytokine storm and various inflammatory pathways in those affected by Covid-19 preventing death and organ injury but with foreign countries, death rate was high because their diets were designed to kill.

The scientists then go on a wild imaginary ride trying to fit their biased narrative based on weak assumptions from lab studies on cells and rats. The best part? They used datasets of severe Covid patients with high fatality and data sets from Indian patients without deaths without vaccination status!

The Hindu newspaper just published its worst "anti-science" and "scientific medicine-denialist" piece that parrots and features the current pseudoscientific embracing Govt.'s propaganda on "integrated medicine" using previously credible but now falling from grace, central institutes like AIIMS.

This is really worrying as India is now definitely headed towards the Chinese health model of clownery that integrated medicine is, but without any of the other developments of healthcare in China.

Basically, India's healthcare is prone to look like a Tata Nano car with the logo of Mercedes Benz plastered on it and the scientifically illiterate going gung-ho over their brand new integrated & advanced Tata Nano car.

The piece features poorly constructed sentences that provide false hope to the layman such as:

"Yoga...can benefit patients when modern medicines fail."
- does that mean its good for stage 4 cancer colon or acute myeloid leukemia with multiple organ failure or diabetic kidney disease on dialysis?

The article makes tall claims and then go on to describe ADD ON value of Yoga in a rare condition like vasovagal syncope and then migraine.
ADD-ON - meaning its worthless without actual scientific medicine and other modalities like Yoga could be as good as Yoga.

The paper talks about 21 major research papers but describes only 2 above without any clarity on others. A cursory review shows that most published papers are narrative reviews and not actual trials - from 2019 onwards.

The rest of the "big piece" in The Hindu under "science section" thereafter has nothing much to offer other than glorification of Yoga with nationalistic, cultural and traditional appeal and interviews with pseudoscience sympathizing Govt officers who cant even spell science forwards.

The article ends by demonizing "modern medicine" as COSTLY WITH SIDE EFFECTS and promoting "cost-effective" integrated medicine - this is a blatant LIE. There is NO strong evidence that integration reduces costs in Indian scenario.
Costs increase with integrated medicine as unscientific and absolutely unwarranted pseudoscience integration into standard of care actually increases financial burden for nothing.

The Hindu science section must grow an independent & scientifically astute consciousness while reporting on medicine, that will prevent it from becoming a propaganda mouthpiece of pseudoscience sympathizing science-denying apologists.

During the #COVID19 pandemic, Ministry of Ayush, India released Ayurveda/Unani/Siddha/Homeopathy National Integrative Medicine Guidelines for prevention and treatment of Covid-19.

These guidelines were NOT based on any scientific evidence and was unleashed on the public who were living in fear in a desperate time.

The alternative medicine industry became OPPORTUNISTS and started at fishing in murky waters to sell their herbal and dietary supplements, tactfully and intentionally advertising them as "useful" in the absence of evidence.

What came off it?
The public suffered, and families lost members.

Keep saying Ayurveda treats the patient as a whole and the root cause when in fact it does neither because Ayurveds are incompetent in diagnosing and treating actual diseases

Cure an African ex-bureaucrat's daughter's , friend's, first cousin's cats cataract via surgery and then give Ayurvedic herbals and publish the story as Ayurveda cured blindness in a cat which "Allopathy" couldn't

Train a whole new generation to look down upon medical science and develop an abusive relationship with clinicians and scientists on social media, because the latter are all slaves of the chemical Big Pharma industry

Study modern medicine first, then specialize in Cardiology, become senile, retire and then look back at life with regret and then go the Ayurveda way saying whole life was utter waste because Ayurvedic way of life came in late and start peddling pseudoscientific nonsense in a rat race to remain prominent in the mind and heart of scientifically illiterate community. Finally, sell herbal supplements to the same illiterate community, become rich, get an award, lie to self & die without regrets.
