@corsaren when we think of the declaration of independence, we don't just think of america, writing, paper, etc simultaneously, we also think of how the same object relates to all that
@corsaren right, and this is i think coupled together with associations of particular properties to that object, imagined or otherwise represented mentally. the phenomenology of the bare particular unifies this cluster into one single thing
@corsaren i guess one difference with bare monologue is that thinking of the declaration picks out a distinct consistent referent, and that has a specific phenomenology i can't quite put into words

@Michael__Huemer@VVBellerose after reading, excellent work as usual. my only complaints are that the paper doesn't mention panpsychism (presumably same as idealism but a live theory) and that "personal familiarity with mental states is a key part of IBE" deserved more than a footnote
