I genuinely think the whole “be the bigger person” mentality benefits the abuser more . Reactive abuse is very real, and I think we have to stop pretending that people can endlessly mistreat, provoke, disrespect, manipulate, and hurt someone and then expect that person to respond perfectly every single time.
You cannot continually be cruel and unkind to someone and then turn around and tell them to “be the bigger person” every time they finally react. At some point, that person is going to become frustrated, angry, exhausted, or defensive. That reaction does not erase everything that happened before it.
I also feel like “be the bigger person” is forced onto victims far too often. Instead of asking, “Why did this person feel pushed to this point?” people immediately focus on the victim’s reaction and tell them to remain calm, forgive, stay quiet, walk away, or take the high road. Meanwhile, the person causing the harm gets to continue doing exactly what they were doing with very little accountability NO THANK YOU
ending a friendship because you no longer like how they show up for you is completely valid. you're allowed to outgrow relationships that no longer feel mutual, supportive, or genuine. sometimes choosing yourself means accepting that a connection has simply run its course.
Throughout immersing myself in history, I’ve noticed that anything built on tears, grief, or another person’s suffering eventually crumbles. I think relationships are no different. What’s built against the principles of love, reciprocity, and community carries its own imbalance. Not always punishment but sometimes simply consequence
I feel like ppl expend so much effort on the perception that they're not hypocrites when it's so freeing to just accept you and most ppl are.… that same attention could go toward aligning your values with your actions it’s so counterproductive
People who have never had to worry about money can be disconnected from the reality of how deeply financial insecurity affects the way you move through the world. We all know everyone lives in a hierarchy mindset. Money isn’t everything of course, but in this world it determines access, stability, freedom, and, unfortunately even how people treat you.
It’s dense to tell someone that not having money shouldn’t affect their mood or mental state. Of course it does. Financial stress is real. And acknowledging that isn’t materialistic lol it’s necessary if we actually want to understand and dismantle the systems that keep people struggling.
Never been told I have bad music taste when people get in my car or have house warmings by me. I really enjoy music and vibing with those who ride fast with me and also know how to chill. I enjoy connecting with people and them also showing me what they like!
a lot of people are doomscrolling because they’re lowkey afraid to sit with themselves.
bc if people sit with themselves they might realize their relationship is failing. they’re lonely. they hate their job. they’re not living the life that they want. or, they’re simply not happy.
doomscrolling = escapism.
You can fool everybody with that victim act, but karma know the truth. Idc how good you make yourself look innocent or how many people you convince to feel sorry for you… karma gone dog walk you eventually. Just don’t act shocked when it catch up to you.
