I am sympathetic to the fact that Ariana Grande suffered an incredible amount of trauma from losing Mac and the terrorist attack in Manchester.
However, this tendency of hers to play the abused victim whenever the public expresses concern (over her emaciated body) or dismay (the Ethan Slater affair) is incredibly toxic. Her fans genuinely believe she’s been chased away by mean body shamers when she likely is going to get treatment.
Controversial view: I think she’s a narcissist and her eating disorder is a way she gets “supply” and “sympathy” from the masses. Also a great distraction from the fact that she stole a woman’s husband 😭
