How is that a war crime? It's probably not in your interest to get into what is and isn't a war crime.

Israel's standards? The "prisoners" didn't have a vote for the govt which imprisoned them, so there's no legitimacy

Don't Palestinians have the same right to detain and charge people suspected of crimes and prosecute them within their own system? Either everyone does or no one does...

Why is that not factored into your outlook here? If Israel can make the military aged male decision legitimately, their opposition can make the "reservists are combatants", call right?

Meaning Israel also doesn't have the right to kill noncombatants or use their people/infrastructure as shields, nor they can they hold hostages. Does one who violates this lose legitimacy in their cause?

Not rhetorical question btw, and not asking you if all actions on Oct 7 meet your criteria, but I want to know what that would look like, to you. What's the "right way" to do it?
