And this is what we have been trying to help folks see- the mainstream mental health movement has been empowering carceral systems and not care- but everyone is so excited about the conversation folks are missing what the conversation is being used to do to our folks!!

Be careful friends. These systems are using “mental health” as a frame to expand the state’s capacity for forced incarceration and nowhere in history has that ended up well for Black folks.
